Star Trek: Nemesis
(December 2002)

Sadly the Star trek motto of "To boldly go where no man has gone before.." has been replaced with "To boldly rehash what we have been done before...." The imagination, naive optimism and sense of fun have all but disappeared from the Star Trek series.

To put it bluntly and briefly: This would have been made a pretty good Next Generation episode, but as a movie it lacks the excitement that is desperately needed. This movie could be the last nail in the Next Generation movie coffin.

For Star Trek geeks and enthusiasts:

What the hell was Wesley doing at the wedding in a Star Fleet uniform after ditching the Federation to travel the cosmos with the Traveler guy. Perhaps he missed his mommy?

We all know from the Next Generation episodes that Picard did have a full head of hair in his younger does in Star Fleet. Did they think we would really be fooled into believing that Shinzon looked anything like Picard by flashing a lame blurry picture of the supposedly younger and bald Picard in the academy.

Remember when the Romulans were an EMPIRE! The once legitimate threat to the federation, now apparently could be overthrown by Jar Jar Binks.

Rating: PG for sci-fi action violence and peril and a scene of sexual content.
